  • A: Yes! We’re located in downtown San Diego with parking available on-site and nearby. We make it easy to drop in, train, and get back to your day.

  • A: G13 is a well-established Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu affiliation founded by 12x World Champion Roberto Godoi. The team has a strong presence throughout Brazil and the USA, and our San Diego location is the first G13 academy in Southern California. While our head instructor Wilson Reis is widely known for his professional UFC and MMA career, he’s now fully focused on leading and growing our BJJ team here in San Diego.

  • A: Our academy blends traditional BJJ values: respect, discipline, and integrity with a modern, laid-back atmosphere. We take training seriously, but not ourselves too seriously. While we follow some traditional etiquette, we don’t believe in rigid formality or ego. Just great training, mutual respect, and steady improvement together.

  • A: Absolutely! We offer Beginner classes designed specifically for those with no prior experience. You’ll learn foundational positions, movements, and techniques in a safe, supportive environment before progressing to advanced classes. Our team has a wide range of belts from White to Black.

  • A: While we don’t currently offer a separate “competition class,” our open mats twice a week serve as dedicated sessions for those who compete or want to train at a higher intensity. Our team is very active in IBJJF and other local competitions as well!

  • A: We understand life isn’t always consistent, that’s why our memberships are flexible and month-to-month. You’re not locked into long-term contracts and can train as your schedule allows. Our goal is for your BJJ journey to be focused on what works for you.

  • A: Yes! We offer a 7 day free trial for new students. It’s a great way to experience our atmosphere, meet the team, and see if we are the right fit!
